2/3/2009 Several club members were present at the Pulaski Town Counsel meeting tonight. It appears, at least for now, that we can still fly at Loving Field.

I just got this email from Ron Hall in Pulaski.
I regret to inform you that Richard R. Bartelmehs died today 12/17 in Texas, on his 73rd birthday. "Bart" had moved to Texas to be near his son. He had been in a nursing home for the past few months. Funeral arrangements are pending. He will be buried in Pulaski, Va.
Bart was sometimes gruff and sometimes gentle and always a true friend. He will be missed by all who have known him.

12/12/2008 Guy's, No more meetings this year. Elections are over and we have new officers in several positions. You can read all about it in the last meeting minutes.
11/21/2008 Aces meeting on 12/11/2008 and that is the second Thursday instead of the third so it's not so close to Christmas. IMPORTANT! Voting for new club officers for 2009. Check out the minutes of Novembers meeting in the "Meetings" section. I'll post here when I know where the meeting will be. I'm Doug Slate and I approve this message.

7/19/2008 Aces are Planning a Fun Fly on September 27th, 2008.
6/5/2008 From Randy: Just a reminder that this Saturday is the Float-fly at Claytor Lake State Park. The fun starts at 9:00 and will go on until 4:00. (Weather permitting) If you would like to participate, or just come and hang out, everyone is welcome. As in the past, we will be set up at the gazebo behind the Howe house. There is a dock to launch Planes and boats and there is a small grassy area for foamy's or small heli's if you don't mind flying over the water. Hope to see you all there.
5/1/2008 This from Joe: As of May 1, 2008, flying at Don's Farm will cease. On behalf of the club, I would like to thank Don for letting us use the field and the hospitality that he and Frankie have shown to club members. It was great fun and many good memories were created there. Over the next few weeks, various members will be cleaning up the field from the destruction of the shed, and removing club assets from that location. Again, thanks Don for allowing us to use the field over past several years and for all the fun the club has had. Joe

11/18/2007 Will everyone keep an eye out for an affordable riding mower for the Pulaski Field. There is a trailer available for transporting a mower, but we need to be looking out for a mower! Contact Randy, Steve, or Larry if a deal is found, so some discussion can be had.

9/28/2007 More sad news. Yesterday, 2/27/2007, Frank Wilson (Don's Brother) passed away. He was once a member of the Flying Aces. We'll be thinking of his family.
9/21/2007 We have lost our Club President "Scott Slayman" as he passed away. He was a great asset to the club and he will be missed. Randy Elliot will be Acting Presedent in Scott's absence. Thank you Randy.
